A small-business SEO checklist before you publish
The on-page details worth checking before launch, from page titles and internal links to a fast, mobile-friendly experience.

Make every page easy to understand
Give each important page a descriptive title and a clear heading that matches what a visitor came to find. Write a short meta description that explains the value of the page rather than repeating a list of keywords.
Use one clear H1 per page, then organize supporting ideas with meaningful H2 headings. A tidy outline helps people scan and gives search engines useful context.
Connect related pages
Link related services, useful articles, and relevant project examples together. Internal links help visitors continue their research and make important pages easier for crawlers to discover.
Use link text that describes the destination. 'See our ecommerce work' is more useful than a row of identical 'click here' links.
Check the mobile experience
Test the site on a real phone as well as a desktop. Make sure text is readable, buttons are easy to tap, images fit their layouts, and the main action is not buried below unnecessary content.
Compress images, remove scripts the page does not need, and confirm that every page has a working canonical URL and sensible social preview. Good technical basics make the content easier to use and maintain.
